Jessie Lasaten is an award-winning film and TV series composer and musical director with more than 150 film and series credits to his name. As head of Cutting Edge Animation, Jessie supervised animation for commercials internationally and for such animated features as El Americano and Niko: The Journey to Magika, which was shown at Tribeca Film Festival and (as DAYO) won the Metro Manila Film Festival Award.
He has composed scores for numerous TV series, including 476 episodes of The Promise, 222 episodes of Be My Lady, 105 episodes of Ngayon at Kailanman, 140 episodes of 100 Days to Heaven, 80 episodes of Guns & Roses, and much more. His feature film scores include El Presidente, Manila Kingpin, and the animated feature Niko: The Journey to Magika, for which he was also animation producer and guiding light.
To date Jessie has won 17 awards across nearly 50 nominations, including: The FAMAS Awards (6 wins + 5 nominations); FAP Awards (1 win + 7 nominations); Gawad Urian Awards (8 nominations); Golden Screen Awards (4 nominations); Metro Manila Film Festival (6 wins + nominations); and more.
